The History of Tattoos • The art of tattoos started over five thousand years ago in the Egyptian time period where most tattoos where discovered on female bodies.
Tattoos in other cultures • Many other cultures started putting tattoos on their bodies in the forms of symbolic animals and pottery designs.
Popularity of Tattoos • Tattoos have become quite popular over the past few years for both the young and the old. • Many people that get tattoos get things that range from flowers to tattooing a person’s name on their bodies.
Tattoos as fashion trends • It seems that tattoos now days are more of a fashion statement or trend. • Many tattoo artists use many different colors in their tattoo drawings as well as use a lot of detail in designing tattoos.
New Styles of Tattoos • A new style that is emerging in tattoos is the ultra violet tattoo. • These tattoos with a special ink that is visible under a ultra violet light or a black light.
Ultra Violet Tattoos • These tattoos may be nearly invisible in none-ultra violet enviroment, as it depends on the ink used. • Ultra violet tattoos are visible under black light and when the tattoo glows the colors range from white to purple.
Other Tattoo trends • Another trend in tattoos that is popular is the “sleeves”. • “Sleeves” are when people cover their entire arm or arms with tattoos
Sports Tattoos • Sports tattoos are becoming more of a trend among sport fans. • Many professional athletes have tattoos.
Tattoo designs • The art of tattoo design has greatly influenced many Americans today into getting tattoos and by getting tattoos they can express themselves through the form of art. Many people that have tattoos are showing a sense of individualism in the tattoos that put on their bodies.
