  4. Who is Being Described in Isaiah 53? • Modern Rabbis- Israel is the suffering servant of God • Ancient Rabbis- The Messiah • Messiah Ben Yoseph- Suffering Messiah • Messiah Ben David- Triumphant King • Zechariah 9:9,10- Both described

  5. Who Has Believed! • The importance of faith • The Holy Spirit opens our eyes • Romans 11- Don’t be arrogant- Make Israel jealous • Zechariah 12:10 – A Spirit of supplication- recognizing the “Pierced One”

  6. Believe in Whom Not What • Despised and rejected v.3 Hebrews 4:13 • His suffering has purpose v.5,6 II Corinthians 5:21 • His suffering brings healing v.5 There’s power in His shed blood!
