Biography Presentation Requirements • 2-3 minute presentation • Answers the following questions: • Who did you choose to interview and why? • What did you learn about the person you interviewed? • What did you learn about interviewing and writing biographies? • Visual Aid (photograph, poster, etc.) You will be scored on: time, fully answering the questions listed, visual aid, and your presentation (eye contact, prepared, calm, etc.).

  11. BIOGRAPHY PRESENTATION STEPS • WRITE OUT YOUR ANSWERS TO THE THREE QUESTIONS YOU NEED TO ADDRESS. • PRACTICE READING YOUR ANSWERS OUT LOUD. YOUR ANSWERS SHOULD TAKE AT LEAST 3 MINUTES TO READ. IF THEY DON’T, YOU NEED TO ADD INFORMATION (WHEN YOU GIVE YOUR PRESENTATION, YOU WILL LIKELY TALK FASTER AND TAKE LESS TIME). • LOOK OVER YOUR ANSWERS AND HIGHLIGHT THE MOST IMPORTANT WORDS. • TRY GIVING YOUR PRESENTATION ONLY LOOKING AT THE HIGHLIGHTED WORDS. • TRY IT AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR TIME. • ADD OR DELETE INFORMATION AS NEEDED. • AFTER YOU FEEL CONFIDENT WITH THE INFORMATION, TRY WRITING ONLY THE HIGHLIGHTED WORDS ON A NOTECARD. • TRY YOUR SPEECH AGAIN. • TRY YOUR SPEECH AGAIN WITH THE NOTECARD AND TIME IT. • ADJUST YOUR PRESENTATION AS NEEDED. • YOU CAN ALSO USE TIME TODAY TO WORK ON YOUR VISUAL AID.
