New state-of-the-art gondola to open at Grouse Mountain in winter Grouse Mountain has shared its progress on its planned new state-of-the-art gondola, slated to open during the 2024\25 winter season. The $35-million gondola construction project began in September 2022 and comprises of 14 towers and cables that stretch over a 2,600 ft vertical rise. Please note that during these closures, visitors will not be able to access the Skyride and Mountaintop activities or facilities, and the Starbucks at the base will also be closed. However, guest services at the base will remain open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The closure dates are Monday, April 15, April 22, April 23, and April 25.
