Overview – RCMP NL • Specialized Units • Include Major Crime, Forensics, Police Dog Services, Emergency Response Team, Traffic Services, General Investigative Services • Federal Serious and Organized Crime • National security, organized crime and drug enforcement throughout the entire province.

  5. Priorities • Road Safety • Goal: To reduce fatal and serious collisions • Enforcement – traditional and strategic • Distracted Driving and Seatbelt Use • Impaired Driving Enforcement • Partners/Joint Team Operations

  6. Priorities • Violence Prevention • Intimate Partner Violence Unit • Violence Against Women and Girls Committee • Under-Reporting

  7. Priorities • Indigenous Policing and Restorative Justice • Effective and respectful policing services • Unit that supports our police officers and detachments in delivering policing services in Indigenous communities • Restorative justice focused on the needs of the victims, the offenders and the involved community
