How do I determine how fit I am? • Cardiovascular health • Aerobic activity: running, cardio machines, swimming • Monitor heart rate before, during, after • Strength • Upper body • Bench press, curls, push-ups, pull-ups • Lower body and core • Leg press, squats, leg curls, sit-ups • Flexibility • V-sit reach, straddle

  6. How fit do I want to be? • World Class Athlete • Athletic • Active • Couch Potato

  7. So how do I do it? • Make the commitment to start • Set goals • Weight/size, Body fat %, participate in a race/competition, game • Make them reasonable and attainable • Schedule time for activity • Decide what type of activity • Get equipment, clothing, footwear, etc. required • Get to and STICK TO IT!!
