  2. Mr. and Mrs. Omsden decided to fence in their 30 yd by 20 yd vegetable and herb garden to keep pests out. They expect to place one fence post at each corner of the garden and fence posts along the sides at one yard intervals. How many fence posts will they need?

  3. Mr. Ramirez has a rectangular plot of land 800 ft long and 600 ft wide. He wants to divide it itno four smaller rectangular plots with areas 120,000 sq ft, 120,000 sq ft, 80,000 sq ft and 160,000 sq ft. Is the possible? Draw a diagram to explain.

  4. You have six toothpicks of equal length. Show how you can arrange them to form four congruent triangles. You may not break or discard any of the toothpicks and they may only touch at their endpoints.
