Career Discription • Architects build houses, hotels, and all sorts of other buildings. • They design these buildings and can be beautiful buildings such as monuments • They come onsite to see if all the plans are follow and they also have an offsite work which is the actual designing of the building. • Make extensions to cities. • Make people’s dream of having a beautiful city, school or else, become true.

  3. IB course choices and software studies (IB courses I need) • For my IB courses I would choose: • Math HL • English SL • Physics HL • Chemistry SL • French SL • Visual Arts HL • I would then proceed to an architect school such as Columbia or Mc Gill. • I need to be able to know about building, building materials and how to design buildings.

  4. Major and computer studies • Modern architects use computers and technology in order to accomplish their job. • These include new technologies and software to make outlines of their work and models of their buildings. • Examples are: • Google sketch up 6(free) • Blender • You also use PowerPoint and keynote to make presentations. • You would finally use advanced computers such as the Mac pro(to host all of these advanced applications and cell phones (to communicate) such as I phone and Black Berry

  5. Career  and computer usages • Use computer to draw models. • You should know about computer usage and be advanced in using a computer. • You should know all of the available choices and have the best to produce the best • It makes our job easier and makes it look more professional. • Computers will be involved all along your career.

  6. Reflection / predictions. • Graduate Form C.A.S – 2015 • Enter Mc Gill University • Five years to have my degree (2015-2020) • 1-3 years to have a masters (2020-2023) • Start working with a company for some experience 2-3 years. (2023-2026) • Create my first individual project 3 years (2026-2029) • Continue alone until retirement (2029-2057)
