  3. Is my GPA good enough? Depends… • 78%+ to receive university funding • if below 78% supervisor funding only first term, funding once 78% achieved in grad coursework

  4. What are the academic requirements? • 5 courses (2 decided for you) • Proposal • Research • Thesis

  5. What else will I do? • T.A. - priority to those 78%+ • Fall grad retreat in year 1 • Attend speaker series, intramurals sports, Christmas orals, and other fun stuff…

  6. I get paid to go to school? • Tuition in 2008/9 = $6,700 • MA/Sc student earned : • Average – $17,170 • $10,470 difference

  7. What is the deadline? • Feb 15 for first round • March 15 second round • April 15 third round Until we fill approx. 15 spots
