  2. What is Photoshop? Adobe Photoshop is one of the most powerful image modification programs on the market today.

Course Objectives After you complete this course you Apply to : • Use basic selection tools. • Manipulate layers through ordering, positioning, scaling, rotation, and adjustments. • Apply painted masks, selection-based masks, gradient masks, and blend modes to create sophisticated image effects. • Create adjustment layers • Set and modify typography • Use preset brushes and custom brushes • Stylize images by combining filters with blending and masks. • Do a fine basic design for web / print .

  6. Raster Graphics • Advantages of Raster graphics • One of the biggest advantages of bitmap graphics, is that because we can set the color of every individual pixel in the image, we can display photorealistic pictures very easily.

  7. Raster Graphics • Disadvantages of Raster graphics • It maps have two disadvantages. In terms of the amount of digital storage, bitmaps are memory intensive, and the higher the resolution, the larger the file size. • The other disadvantage with bitmaps is when an image is enlarged, the individual colored squares become visible and the illusion of a smooth image is lost to the viewer. This 'pixelation' makes the image look coarse.
