  1. How did you use media technology in the construction ,research and planning?

  2. We had used many different media technologies to construct our music video , cd covers and magazine advert. We used a canon camera to take pictures of the artist and location. We also used a hand held camera to capture the shots. I found this really simple and straight forward to use as I had used it before at my previous school for AS media. I had use it at home as I take photos for family occasions . Using it for my media project made me improve my skills and technique. • For our research we did a preliminary exercise of shooting a random clip which made us develop our skills on camera use.

  3. To take pictures for the digipack we had used digital sony camera. I found this very easy to use but I had also learnt new functions on the camera which may help me in the future.

  4. On the shooting day the lights we had took out to use did not work at the skate park as it as it wouldn’t turn on. However , it was not a big deal as there was plenty of sunlight which made the shots come out nice and clear. • We also spent a lot of time trying to set up the technology as we was confused on how to start it. • The main piece of technology we had used was the computer as this allowed us to create our digipack and make it into what it is.

  5. The software we used in the construction of my media product was , • Final cut pro • Indesign • Photoshop The ‘Final cut pro’ on the advanced Apple Mac was my favourite software. We had gotten the hang of using this software as we practised editing before when we did our chase sequence at the start of the year where we also practised using the camera. As i have used editing soft wares before , it didn’t take me long to get used to the tools and methods. As a group we first logged and captured all the footage that we had filmed on the software which allowed us to create sub clips according to shots and scenes which makes it easier to edit as we may need to cut certain bit off or what not. We went through all the whole footage and decided which clips we liked and which clips we didn’t as a group. As we had too many shots for the performance scene, it would be time consuming to log and capture it shot by shot so we captured the whole clip and cut it while editing/ We then tried out different transitions, but we then realised that simple was the best option so we just used quick fades. I done majority of the editing as that was my main role in the group however the rest of the group did contribute and helped me when I needed them.

  7. The research technologies we used was the internet , such as google to research on artists , youtube to analyse different music videos which had helped us so much in our project. To help us promote we used facebook and twitter as it is the biggest social networking sites at the moment.
