  2. Reminders! • —Need 6 points this semester (14 for the year) to remain an active member (meetings, donations, volunteering, etc.) • —Cannot accumulate points until you pay dues • —Make sure you are registered on OrgSync • —Check OrgSync regularly to make sure you receive your points!!

  3. Club Requirements Battered Women’s Center- One donation each semester; 3 travel size items Imagine No Hunger- One donation each semester; $10 donation OR 50 individually packaged lunch items *See website for more detailed info: http://harvest.cals.ncsu.edu/prehealth_club/index.cfm?pageID=4916

  5. Boys and Girls Club —Tutor elementary school students: ◦ When? 3:45-5pm, Mon-Thurs ◦ Where? Washington B&G Club — Contact Spencer Lacy, sclacy@ncsu.edu, if interested.

  6. Hearts with Haiti • Volunteer/point opportunities at the Hearts with Haiti office (West Raleigh Presbyterian off Horne St.) –2 hours of volunteering at office = 1 point –Volunteers complete administrative work, grant research & proposals, letter writing and much more at the office! • Sponsorship Program this semester! –Child Sponsorship Campaign –$360 sponsors one child for a –$10 donation=one service point (UNLIMITED DONATIONS) Contact Info: Brandon Williams (btwilli2@ncsu.edu), Sid Gandra (sgandra@ncsu.edu),or Katie Smith (klsmit12@ncsu.edu).

Imagine No Hunger We are in SERIOUS need of food and donations! —2 ways to donate: (1 donation = 1 point!) ◦ $10 cash or check made out to NCSU Pre-Health Club. ◦ 50 individually packaged items: Desserts, Chips, Granola Bars, Lunch meat, Cheese (not individually wrapped), Juice boxes, Etc. (See Pre-Health Club website for more items) —Bring any donations to the Health Pac office with your name on it and make sure to sign in your donation. —After donating twice you can sign up to volunteer to package and distribute lunches on Sundays from 12-1:30! —If you have questions, email: Austin Flick: acflick2@ncsu.edu, Austin Colquitt: adcolqui@ncsu.edu

  8. Oak Hollow/STAR Projects Providing monthly activities year round to 10 formerly homeless, single parent families with physical or mental disabilities. Of the 10 families there, 7 have been there all three years since the center opened. March 27th: contributing to the STAR Store by collecting high need items for daily use April 8th: provide 10 family Easter baskets May 6th: collecting non-perishable snack items Contact Kristin Fossett at knfosset@ncsu.edu or Amanda Ruddock at ayruddoc@ncsu.edu with questions!

  9. Oak Hollow Easter Basket Donations needed: Easter candy Egg dye Small items, e.g. stickers, pencils, etc. Make as cute a basket as possible - add some household items on side in "basket" if want. These items should be turned into the Health PAC office no later than NOON on April 8th.

  10. Tammy Lynn Center —Provides educational, residential, therapeutic and respite care services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. —Group arts and craft activities with residents: ◦ Sat. March 22nd 9:30-11 am ◦ Sat. April 19th 9:30-11 am —Individual volunteer opportunities available. Diaper Train Volunteering: Here is the link to the SignUp Genius site that is used for volunteering for the weekly distribution to families on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10am-noon.http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080948A5A7238-diaper Here are the point breakdowns: Cash/Check: $10/point and made out to PHC if check with Diaper train in memo As for the items : based this on approximate value of like 1 point for $10 items like we do with everything else Diapers - size 4 ~30-31 count (1 point) 5 25-27 count (1 point) 6 25-27 count (2 points) Baby wipes - 2 packages minimum 80 count per package - 1 point Books - infant/pre-K - hardback (like Dr. Seuss) - 3 = 1 point hard paper - 8-10 = 1 point And 1 point for each distribution shift (like INH)
