  1. The Situation It is June 23rd, 1756 and you aretraveling in the countrysidewith your family to show off your new baby. You were attacked by an Indian Raiding Party and you and your spouse were captured. In the confusion of the attack your baby fell out of the wagon, along with some of your belongings. When you write this entry you have to pretend a stranger wrote in the journal after they found your baby and the journal. FROM THIS POINT PRETEND YOU ARE THE STRANGER. SCROLL THROUGH THE POWER POINT TO FIND OUT WHAT THE STRANGER SAW ON JUNE 23rd 1756.

  2. A stranger happens to travel down a country road.

  3. The stranger smells smoke and sees that a wagon has crashed into the brush, overturned, and is on fire.

  4. They cautiously get off theirhorse to investigate. They carefully look around because there has been reports that a French & Indian War Party was recently spotted in the area trying to attack local farms. Apparently they have attacked again, this time targeting an unsuspecting traveler. (Your Journal Family)

  5. The stranger hears a whimpering sound coming from the woods off to the side, away from the wagon. A survivor from this Indian Attack has been found!!!

  6. You have rescued a little baby. But unfortunately the parents are no where to be seen. You suspect they have been taken captive. You will take the baby back to town and see that it will be cared for. (Is it a He? or a She?)

  7. While rummaging around in the debris the strangeralso found a Journal, apparently it belongs to the baby’s family. At least the baby has some identification.

  8. Write From The Point Of View Of The Stranger – Who Just Discovered This Now write this short conclusion into the journal from the view point of a “stranger” It is June 23rd, 1756. Sign your real student name - not the journal character – they are captured and with the Indians. This concludes the 1st Edition of this Journal Project.
