LEO today • Established in 1908 in Denmark • More than 3,000 employees based in 40 countries • Headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark • Offices and affiliates in 25 countries • Areas of expertise are dermatology, coagulation, nephrology, inflammation, and immunology • Products sold in 90 countries • Group profit before tax 337 MEUR (2005)

LEO functionsResearch & Development • R&D develops drugs and New Chemical Entities (NCE) that alleviate or cure diseases • More than 550 scientists and researchers work in R&D to fulfill these goals • We take the drugs all the way – from organic chemistry, isolation of compounds from microbial and biological material to registration • A substantial part of our research focuses on: • Dermatology • Critical Care • We investigate and manage licensing activities and agreements
