Yearbooks will be $25 after March 14th. *Duncan Chapel Elementary School is now on Instagram as DCDolphins. Follow us! * First graders are going on two field trips in May. We will go strawberry picking on Friday, May 16. We will go to Roper Mountain Science Center on Monday, May 19. The cost of both trips is $6.75. Details can be found in the letter attached to the permission forms. Please return these ASAP. April 28, 2014 Spring Carnival Duncan Chapel’s Spring Carnival will be held Saturday, May 17 from 3-6 pm. There will be inflatables, slides, a train ride, games, face painting, popcorn, cotton candy, and more! Please come out and support our school and have a great time with us! How can I help my child read? Does your child like to watch TV? Well, some research suggests that children who view television that contains captions improve their word learning and overall reading. Seeing the words on the screen while hearing the words helps readers learn to recognize words and read with fluency. Try turning this feature on and encourage your child to “read the screen” as he/she watches TV. • .
