What is LOS? • Level of Service (LOS) defines how well we process our inbound trailers.
The TCR • We monitor & control each delivery & unload with the TCR (Trailer Control Record) • There are 3 clock times on each TCR: • Gate Clock when the truck arrives at the gate. • Window Clock when the driver arrives at the CRO window. • Final clock when the TCR is returned to CRO with the bills signed.
If the TCR/packet is clocked in at or before the appointment time, LOS is 2 hours from: appointment time. If the TCR/packet is clocked in after the appointment time, LOS is 2 hours from WINDOW CLOCK TIME . Calculating LOS
Example 1: Driver arrives at the gate at 05:30. Appt time is 06:00. TCR is clocked in at CRO at 05:50. What is LOS time? Example 2: Driver arrives at the gate at 06:00. Appt time is 06:00. TCR is clocked in at CRO at 06:20. What is LOS time? Calculating LOS 07:59 07:59
Example 3: Driver arrives at the gate at 08:30. Appt time is 09:00. TCR is clocked in at CRO at 09:10. What is LOS time? Example 4: Driver arrives at the gate at 10:30. Appt time is 11:00. TCR is clocked in at CRO at 10:50. What is LOS time? Calculating LOS 10:59 12:59
Know your LOS • What can go wrong? • What can I do to help? • What does it really mean?
