  1. Coherent Market Insights Marine vessel energy efficiency refers to a ship's overall operational efficiency Marine Vessel Energy Efficiency is a method of measurement of energy consumption of a vessel in its entirety including its cooling, heating, and other necessary processes. Marine vessels, including marine vessels used for human activities, carry out various functions. In fact, these large vessels are highly complex systems that are constantly in motion. Hence, their energy consumption is high, and it becomes very important for any industry or organization to adopt new and cost- effective ways of cutting down their energy consumption. As per the latest reports, it has been found that over the past four decades, a major part of the global energy supply has gone into the marine energy sector. Hence, this sector is expected to expand for the next several years. Globalization and technological advances have also played a key role in the recent developments and growth in the efficiency of modern vessels. First, global trade has increased the rate of integration of technology and manufacturing strategies, leading to lower production costs and greater flexibility. Second, technological advancements allow for closer integration of systems across product family's (i.e. engines, appliances, sensors, etc.) This closer integration has led to a synergistic and more efficient integration across special purpose vessels and in particular the demand segment. One important factor that must be taken into account is the location of the manufacturing facility. Modern vessels are built in one of two ways; onshore or offshore. Each method of construction has distinct advantages and disadvantages. Onshore methods are characterized by lower costs and flexibility, while offshore methods are characterized by greater reliability and security. Taking into Coherent Market Insights
