  5. Why Bother? • 1 in 4 adults are overweight or obese • 1 in 5 children are overweight and 1 in 12 are obese • 11,000 deaths in NZ each year due to lifestyle – these are preventable: 8000-9000 deaths due to bad diet 2000-3000 due to low activity level

  6. Benefits Eating healthy: • Keeps our weight down reducing the risk of adult diabetes • Eating less food from the top of the pyramid reduces salt intake and keeps our blood pressure down So we live longer...
