  3. Answer #1 • NO • Carl Dewey Perkins was the politician from KY who left a legacy of support for career & technical education. • Carl Lee Perkins was from TN. His most famous song is “Blue Suede Shoes” and he is in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. • Carl “H” Perkins???

  13. Answer #6 • Affects single audits and increases the threshold for total federal expenditures for an LEA from $500,000 up to $750,000. • That means small school districts and charters receiving less than or equal to $750,000 will now be audited by USOE instead of state auditors.

  17. Answer #8 • Continue doing what you have been doing (as long as it was allowable in the first place) until further notice. • Definition of computer devices may be changing to call device < $5000 a “supply” – however you will be required to “safeguard” all supplies & equipment.

  18. Question #9 • Can Perkins funds be used to pay for supplies that will be used to make products to sell?

  19. Answer #9 • No • Consumable supplies to be made into products to be sold or to be used personally by students, teachers, or other persons is not allowable (paper ink, CO2 cartridges, etc.)

  20. Question #10 • Can you purchase or lease a vehicle with Perkins funds?

  21. Answer #10 • No • Purchase or lease of passenger vehicles including vehicles such as automobiles, trucks, buses, utility vehicles, airplanes, boats, and golf carts are not allowable.
