The Gentile Walk (4:17-19) • in the futility of their mind • being darkened in their understanding • excluded from the life of God • because of the ignorance that is in them • because of the hardness of their heart • having become callous - they have given themselves over to sensuality - for the practice of every kind of impurity (w/ greedliness)

  2. II. The Christ Walk (4:20-24) Learning Christ - heard & taught in Him (truth in Jesus) 1) Lay aside the old self 2) Be renewed in the spirit of your mind 3) Put on the new self • Old Self - is being corrupted (with the lusts of deceit) • New Self - has been created (in righteousness & holiness) of the truth which is in the likeness of God

  3. II. The Christ Walk (4:20-24) Learning Christ - heard & taught in Him (truth in Jesus) 1) Lay aside the old self(aorist tense) 2) Be renewed in the spirit of your mind(present tense) 3) Put on the new self(aorist tense)

  4. III. Walking in New Clothes (4:25-32) 1) Speak Truth (4:25) 2) Be Angry w/out Sin (4:26-27) 3) Work Good & Give to Needs (4:28) 4) Speak Edifying Words (4:29-30) 5) Be Kind, Tenderhearted & Forgiving (4:31-32)
