  1. The Lying Game • By: Sara Shepard Top 5 Best Moments (Chronological Order)

  2. The Blame Game • ““I was going to talk to you about this in private, but you blew it now.”[said Travis]...Talk to me about what?...Travis lowered the blackberry so everyone could see. He typed in the keyword SuttonInAZ and hit play...the camera showed a figure sitting in a chair with a black blindfold covering her face...suddenly someone slipped behind her and pulled the necklace chain back [around her neck] so that it pressed up against the girls throat. She flailed her arms and kicked her legs...until she went limp. She looked exactly like her [emma]. Clarice clapped her hand over her mouth, “Whats wrong with you...you can stay until your birthday, but after that you’re on your own.””? (Shepard 15-23) Once this video is revealed, it is the start/beginning of a new life for Emma whether she is prepared for it or not. This event leads to one of the best moments of the book. (next event)

  3. There’s Hope For Emma! • “She [Emma] typed SuttonInAZ into a google search. A few sites popped up instantly, including a facebook page by the same name. SUTTON MERCER, it said. TUSCON,ARIZONA...everything down to Sutton’s petite ears and the same perfectly square, perfectly straight teeth, was identical. (Shepard 29) Emma discovers she really has a twin! Her mind starts to wonder and she begins to have hope that there could be a better life out there for her. Little does she know that there are not always happy endings.

  4. Where you At? • “It was 6:10. What if Sutton was late to everything? People like that drove Emma crazy...the clock on her phone now said 6:20. Something felt very wrong. Crack. Emma’s head whipped around at the sound. Before she knew what it was, a small hand covered her eyes and yanked her to standing. “Wha?” Emma called out. A second hand pressed against her mouth. Emma tried to wrench away, but a hard, cold object pressed between her shoulder blades...the scarf ripped off Emma’s eyes...three familiar pretty girls in part dresses and sparkly dresses stood before her.” (Shepard 45-49) In this moment, Emma is found by Sutton’s friends and they believe it is Sutton in attempt to play a “Lying Game” trick on her. After this, she must quickly learn the role of her sister and this begins her quest to find her sister.

  5. Anonymous Threat • “Every time she closed her eyes, she felt the strangler press up against her, that voice i her ear. Keep being Sutton, or your next.” (Shepard 196) From now on, Emma has to continue her lie as being Sutton. She is now stuck in this situation, and has to keep digging, but as she digs, the more dangerous things get!

  6. Cliff-Hanger • “I just wanted us to get as far away from here as possible...theres something i think i know. Something that you don’t want anyone else to know.” (Shepard 286) This is basically the last important piece of information given to the reader in the book. This is what you are left with at the very end to think about until the next book. Never Have i Ever
