Enhancing Writing Skills through Timed Exercises and Peer Evaluations

Today's agenda focuses on improving writing skills through a structured approach. Students will engage in timed writing based on “The Queen’s Speech,” where they will read, annotate, plan, and write while utilizing provided resources. A strict no-phone policy is in place to enhance focus. Following the writing exercise, peer evaluations will take place. Groups will assess selected essays using a 9-point rubric, requiring written scores and justifications for each evaluation. This blend of individual and collaborative assessment aims to strengthen diction, syntax, and writing conventions.
