Understanding Interjections: Key Concepts and Practice Exercises

This unit reviews the eighth part of speech: interjections. Interjections are exclamatory words expressing strong emotions and stand independently from other sentence components. They can be punctuated with commas or exclamation points. Examples include "Wow!", "Ouch!", and "Alas!". Engage with our practice activities: create ten sentences with funny interjections and share them with the class, then identify interjections in given sentences, and for homework, describe your first day of school using ample interjections. Let’s master this expressive part of speech!
