GOAL SETTING • Be prompt • Set Specific Goals • Be prepared • Have materials with you and know due dates. • Be a polite and positive participant • Speak in a normal tone of voice, and listen attentively. • Be productive • Turn in work on time, and always do your best. • Be a problem solver • Correct problems quickly and peacefully before they escalate.

  3. Low & High Self Esteem • Negative self talk Positive self talk • Lack of self confidence Improved confidence • Unhappy relationships Happy relationships • Low achievement High achievement • Bad Grades Good Grades

  4. Responsibility for Classroom Work • Bring notebook, textbook, planner, and appropriate writing tools to class. • Know due dates, and submit all coursework on time. • All assignments are posted on the syllabus and on the class Web site. Use an Academic Planner to keep up with projects.

  5. Promote Lifelong Learning You can develop lifelong learning traits: • By showing curiosity about Setting Goals and Time Management. • By seeking Skill, Not Will. • By persisting in seeking out new solutions. • By using your unique talents and intelligence to promote positive change. • By learning and applying technology tools to solve problems.

  6. MOTIVATIONPOSITIVE SELF TALKSELF EFFICIACYAFFIRMATIONS are all motivators to make positive changes in your Life. Instead of Dealing with Stress!

  7. Grading • Grades are what you make of them. Not what they make of you, unless YOU made it that way! A + Not F-

  8. My Pledge as a Student • I will progress in any situation no matter what • I will work with you to solve problems. • I will promptly do feedback on my work. • I will work with teacher to meet learning goals. • I will offer extra credit and alternative assessments if the teacher requires it.
