  2. Once upon a time, a team led by Mangus, established a tribe near the Syueshan northern ridgeline --“Don-tai-ya-kan”. In order to remember Mangus, the later generations named this tribe as “Smangus”.

  3. Fauna The Koraw Ecoolgical Park near Smangus is a beautiful pristine forest which has abundant nature resource. When walking on the trail, you can hear the nature symphony from mountain Scops-owl, white-faced flying squirrel, Formosan giant flying squirrel and other insect and frogs.   9. Flora Smangus tribe community locates in the deep mountain, with many artificial plantations. Outside the community has more secondary forest and pristine forest.
