  5. HISTORY • Mongolia the horse King country where snow covered mountains mingle with the desert. Mongolia Located at the heart part of Asian continent , Mongolia is a country with a history that dates back to the times of Hunnu Empire from the 3rd to 1st century B.C. • For hundreds of years, Mongolia has seen states and civilizations come into being, thrive and collapse due to various circumstances. Mongols rose to global fame at the limes of Chinggis Khan and his supporters.

NATIONAL APARTMENT: GER • Ger (yurt) is round, cone-shaped tent • Ger has only one door and no windows • But it has a small opening at the top, called a 'toono'' which allows smoke to go out of the stove's chimney • It is made out of boards with a wool covering so that it is easy to put up and to take down

  13. NATIONAL APARTMENT: GER • This dwelling of nomads is collapsible and easy to erect and transport • The Mongolian ger looks small, but it is amazingly spacious inside, quite stable against storm winds and is well ventilated

  15. Mongolian wrestling is similar to a wrestling found elsewhere, except there are no weight divisions National Wrestling • While growing up, boys spend much of their time wrestling with one another, especially in the countryside

  16. National Wrestling • Wrestling uniforms - Zodog Shuudag • Traditionally, it's said that the wrestling costumes were open in front of the chest. It is an interesting legend that says why the Zodog now is open in its front side. A long time ago, there was a strong famous wrestler who won many aimag's (provinces) naadam but after some time, people found out that the winner was a woman. So, since that time, the Zodog became open

Horse racing • The Eye-Pleasing Nationally Famous Mighty Invincible Giant Horse racing is the favorite sport of the Mongols • The races, which take place on the steppe over distances of 15 to 30 kilometers, are the test of endurance for the horses and riders, boys and girls, most of them as young as six years old • The races are organized according to the age of horses

  19. Archery • Archery competitions continue a tradition dating back to the Hunnu empire, when it was intended to sharpen military skills • Contestants use compound bows fashioned from sinew, wood, deer horn and bamboo, and strung with deer tendon

  21. CAPITAL - ULAANBAATAR • Ulaanbaatar is Mongolia's main political, economic, industrial, scientific and cultural centre • Ulaanbaatar attracts population from rural areas in the country, and therefore, faces a rapid growth
