  2. Fast facts Adult cheetahs weigh from 85 to 143 pounds ( 39 to 65 kilos). Cheetahs eat small to medium sized animals such as hares , wild beast caves and gazels. After a chase a cheetah needs half an hour before it can eat. When a cheetah is running at top speed it covers about 23 feet in 4 foot falls . Female cheetahs usually give birth to between 3 and 5 cubs in a litter. Cheetahs live and hunt in open grass land and bushy areas in parts of Africa and the Middle East.

  3. Where Cheetahs live. Cheetahs do not live in dens and do not build nests. Cheetahs sleep wherever they want. Safety is always a concern so they tend to find secluded shady spots where they can view everywhere around them and with easy escape routes. The cheetah lives and hunts in open grasslands and bushy areas in parts of Africa and the Middle East. This means the cheetah can behard to find because its spotted coat helps it blend in with the tall dry grass of the plains.

  4. Family Male cheetahs hunt in a pack, but female cheaters hunt alone. Male cheetah live in groups of 2 to 4. . After mating, the females and males go there own ways as the females give birth alone.
