Belle spring operation completed without issues. Full depletion voltage remains stable. Water leak to be fixed by next DAQ. HPK to restart DSSD production. Ongoing test production by SINTEF and Micron. Further discussions on sensor production, mechanics requests, and structure installation. KEKB focusing on nano beam option and beam aperture size limitations. Continued work on synchrotron radiation calculations.

SVD operation • Belle spring operation finished safely. • No serious problems so far. • Full depletion voltage > 70 V ( No change since 2003). • Water leak in the cooling water circulation system. Pump. Will be fixed by the start of next DAQ (14 October). • Belle end cap detectors will be removed for CDC leaky wire operation. SVD can not be accessed.
DSSD • HPK decided to restart DSSD production. • Test production will be done this fiscal year. • Real “testable” sensor will be produced in the next fiscal year. • Meanwhile, test production by SINTEF and Micron will be continued. • RFQ (when?) • Bidding process by Japan agency company will be necessary.
Discussion with Mechanics people • There are several requests. • One is if it is possible to glue “ribs” directly to sensors. • Kapton circuit will be glued on top of the ribs. • Another Windmill structure • Installation of the last ladder with a slant sensor in each layer seems to be difficult, if not impossible. • Ladder mount is done while the support structure is separated. Finally two halfs are put together. • How do we asure the accuracy? Need more discussions APV25 Cooling tube DSSD sensors Ribs
Super KEKB IP chamber • KEKB people now only discuss on the nano beam option only. • The radius of beam apertures in the final focus Super conducting Q magnets can not be larger than 10 (or 10.5) mm. • The beam pipe radius is automatically same or smaller than 10(.5) mm. • Still synchrotron radiation is better than in the high-current option. • BKG/SR calculation will be done by the IR group lead by M. Iwasaki.
