St. Andrew – focusing on education as a tool for transformation Summer camps – targeting 1,000 students across 7 communities (Nannyville, Swallowfield, Jacques Rd, McGregor, Franklyn Town, Woodford Park, Slipe Road) 4 categories of students Ages 4-6 – pre primary stage Ages 7-9 – preparing for the Grade 4 Tests Ages 10-12 – preparing for GSAT Ages 12-15 – young teenagers Pre and post assessments to determine those needing special intervention Introduction of computers and locally developed software application for GSAT students

Sewage infrastructure work NWC has laid sewage pipes in the following areas Donhead Ave Walford Close Hope Glade Mews Hillcrest Ave Roseneath Ave Glenhope Ave Swallowfield Road Other works to commence shortly Fairway Ave Seymour Ave Retreat Ave The purpose of the works is to allow residents to connect to the sewer main and reduce disposal of sewage via soak away pits, which contaminate our under ground water supply

Swallowfield Homework Enrichment Program Collaboration with the International University of the Caribbean to provide after school support for children at the Grades 4 & 6 levels Focus not just on academic attainment but holistic development of the person Additional interventions done with the IUC Parenting workshop Leadership development workshop Children’s visioning workshop

Transforming communities using Information & Communications Technologies (ICTs) 25 seat computer lab and Internet café has been established at the McGregor community centre A container is being converted to house a computer lab at the Jacques Road community centre Franklyn Town CDC plans to establish a computer lab at the NVO complex on Deanery Road

  20. Introducing a chess competition and robotics courses We will be launching a chess competition for students within the constituency We will also be introducing courses in robotics as well
