My Favorite Place. Do not use the name of the place you are describing in the poem. Your first version of the poem will have 5 sentences. Each of the sentences will describe an image that is identified by one of the senses. They may all be basically the same.

  2. Do not use the name of the place you are describing in the poem. • Your first version of the poem will have 5 sentences. Each of the sentences will describe an image that is identified by one of the senses. They may all be basically the same. Ex: “I see the blue ocean waves rolling toward the shore.” “I smell the roasting pig for the evening luau.”

  3. 3. Your second version of the poem will also have 5 sentences. These sentences will describe the same images you described in the first version without mentioning the sense itself. Ex: “The indigo ocean waves curl their way to the shore.” “Roasting pig floats on the evening air.”
