  12. Annual Survey Report 2014 Summary of Findings • The most accessed interventions were stress in the workplace training and stop smoking support. However, NHS health checks, stress in the workplace for managers and also mental health awareness training was popular. • It reported that many companies have managed to tackle smoking with the majority of companies seeing at least 2 members of staff quitting this year.

  14. Following feedback from the awards ceremony last year and also the annual report it has been highlighted that companies would find business forums useful. Topics that companies would most like information on included: - Staff engagement - Sharing best practice - Alcohol support - Finding or becoming a mentor Our first forum took place on Wednesday 19th November hosted by BT Consumer Sales Truro with 22 local companies attending. This was a mixture of experienced and newly engaged workplaces. The topic of interest was sharing good practice with both YMCA and TRAC Services sharing their experiences. Next forum planned for May 2015 Healthy Workplace Forums

  17. NEW: Gaining Recognition

  18. New Physical Activity Certificate Through supporting the ‘healthy workplace’ award scheme, the certificate provides a bronze level criteria. The physical activity certificate has been designed to recognise local employers and workplaces that actively encourage and promote physical activity within and outside their workplace to their employees. The Physical Activity Certificate will celebrate this commitment and encourage others to do the same irrespective of the size of the company.“ P lease ask Bruce who has joined us today for more information.
