Global Learning Initiative: Internationalizing the Gator Nation's Educational Agenda

Join us for the "Learning Without Borders" session aimed at further internationalizing the Gator Nation's educational goals. Our agenda includes welcoming remarks from key leaders, including Dean David Sammons and QEP Director Timothy Brophy. We'll cover critical aspects of the SACS reaffirmation process, the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) updates, and engage in collaborative small group discussions focused on enhancing learning outcomes. Together, we’ll identify key issues driving the internationalization of our curriculum and ensure we meet compliance and quality standards.

SACS • SACS reaffirmation – site visit February 2014 • Two parts of UF’s reaffirmation: • Compliance Report – our institutional verification that we are complying with all of SACS 12 core requirements, 14 standards, and 9 federal regulations • Quality Enhancement Plan – new for this reaffirmation of accreditation

Core Requirement 2.12 The institution has developed an acceptable Quality Enhancement Planthat includes an institutional process for identifying key issues emerging from institutional assessment and focuses on learning outcomes and/or the environment supporting student learning and accomplishing the mission of the institution.

  5. Standard 3.3.2 The institution has developed a Quality Enhancement Planthat: (1) demonstrates institutional capability for the initiation, implementation, and completion of the QEP; (2) includes broad-based involvement of institutional constituencies in the development and proposed implementation of the QEP; and (3) identifies goals and a plan to assess their achievement.
