  4. Beginning of Career • Whitney’s career started early when she was 15 she started singing back up for Chaka khan and Lou Rawls and Jermaine Jackson. She signed her first contract with Artista Records in 1985.

Timeline • Started back up singing and modeling at he age of 15 • Got discovered at 20by Aristarecords • In 1985 she released her first album titled Whitney Houston • Won here first Grammy For “Saving All My Love for You” in 1985 • Released her second album in 1987 titled Whitney, and won a Grammy for “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” • Started the Whitney Houston organization,which funds projects to help needy children all over the world • 1988 recorded “One Moment in Time” for the Seoul Olympics

She would return to rehab in 2011. • February 11,2012 dies at age 48 in Beverly Hills California • August 17,2012 ,Sparkle, whitney’s latest movie is released.
