  3. Field Coaching- April 12 • Trends • Squaring up to contests • A must on all occasions • Handover • Improvement on weekend • Need to continue to work in MZ from at leats 45- 45m • Need to maintain control through zone if under contest- tap through • Keep EZ deep for goal line decisions

Field Coaching- April 12 • Trends • BTI • Must • Maintain vision on players by backing to boundary line • Run arc- Position to adjudicate Ruck contest • Get back inside of play • Adjust run arc regularly to get different views/ aspects of contest • Ensure you continue wide to ensure you get inside of play • Avoid Early Whistle • Let them play- do not blow whistle for stoppage too early • Players will attempt to release ball- hold whistle & communicate to players

Field Coaching- April 12 • Teamwork- Gender abuse • Supporting each other • Weekend example- Portarlington • Zero Tolerance • We do not condone/ accept abuse of gender/ race etc • Support from clubs and football bodies • Process • Inform teammates- do not accept abuse • Attain as much information as possible as team • Notify club officials- avoid contact with individual(s) where possible • Note on Match Report form& notify DOU

Field Coaching- April 12 • Reporting- Video Review (GFL) • Match Day Process • Umpire duties relating to Reporting as normal • DOU review- uncertainty • Video Review • Significant incident(s) • Off ball/ Stretcher/ Significant melee/ no vision as team • Detailed information of incident(s) • Match/ Time/ Umpire/ Type of incident • Information- players/ clubs/ league/ DOU • Player notification (if required)/ Match Report & all clear/ DOU call post match
