Reaction Chemistry • HCl(aq)+NaHCO3(aq)H2O(l)+CO2(g)+NaCl(s) • To Produce 4.5atm of pressure inside the bottle: 4.5atm • 0.7L = n • 0.08205 L-atm/mol-K • 293K n = 0.131 moles of Sodium Bicarbonate and Hydrochloric Acid g NaHCO3 = 0.131 mol • 84 g/mol = 11.004 g NaHCO3 L HCl = 0.131 mol ÷ 12.1 mol/L = 0.0108 L HCl = 10.8 mL HCl

Conclusions • Our car did not perform as well as we would have liked • The car was inconsistent and had a tendency to turn and flip over, which resulted in it traveling smaller distances. • The bottle leaked around the cap, which also made the data inconsistent because different amounts of pressure were released before and not used to propel the car. • If we were to re-design our car, we would lower the center of gravity to make it more stable and more likely to travel straight • In a re-design of our car we could make the car more sturdy by adding diagonal cross-links. • Apparently, frog stickers tend to make the car hop and flip over 
