Colored Pencil Notes *label a new page in your sketchbook and write these notes down. • Prismacolor Pencils are oil based and will blend well. • Apply tiny layers of color. • Do not use stump to blend strokes • Combine colors for brilliant effects • Avoid overworking the surface until the last layer • Burnishing is when all the grain of the paper is filled in and the pencils look shiny. • Use white or a secondary color to blend (burnish) colors
TIMELINE: • Friday: 1/6: • Practice colored pencil techniques • Circles and apple • 2. Tuesday 1/10: • Pick and Print Pic of your character. • Must be Pixar or Disney • Draw on the paper provided. • Fill up the space • Won’t be approved until it is PERFECT!!!!!

In your sketchbook: • Draw 3 - 2”circles on the page with your notes. • Practice 3 techniques. • Draw Apple. • Practice blending techniques.

Critique: A chance to give and receive feedback from your peers. Critiques are intended to help the artist by hearing a different perspective. They allow the artists to see other artist’s work. Gives the artist specific ideas for making improvements.
How Does this work? Write your comments on the rubric next to each project. One comment must say a specific part that you like about their drawing. One comment must say a specific thing that can be changed/fixed. (Does it look just like the character?)
