The 2nd Industrial Revolution rocked not only the United States but also the WORLD. • We have discussed many inventions/discoveries that changed the direction of our nation: -Cotton Gin -Textile Mills -Electricity -Oil -Steel -Railroad -Skyscrapers
There were also a large number of inventions that we still use today that we haven’t covered. • You need to pick one invention/discovery, read about it, and write a poem sharing your invention knowledge. • Your invention choices are: • Barbed Wire • Chewing Gum • Coca Cola • Escalator • Zipper • Fountain Pen • Today we read, take notes, and write the rough draft of our poem. • Tomorrow we publish our poem in the computer lab.
