  1. 1 3 Key Message Ideas Overview of SMART Objectives ( for Bindoy Marine Sanctuaries, and Reserve) 2 Caring our marine sanctuaries is essential in securing better fish catch and more food to eat for our children. Protection of our marine sanctuaries provides food, livelihood, and promotes eco-tourism for all people to enjoy and commune with the nature. Messaging Strategy K2- Fisherreport the incidence of MPA intrusion and understand the importance of fish abundant in Bindoy Marine Sanctuaries and Reserve. K3- Fishers are aware that reporting MPA intrusion is safe and easy to do. A- Fishers agreed the benefits of welll managed BindoyMarine Sanctuaries by reporting MPA intrusion and using only the hook and line gear inside the SayapReef. IC- Fishers talk to each other about the importance of Bindoy Marine Sanctuaries in increasing fish abundance. BC- By using effective reporting mechanism Fishers stop intruding in the BINDOY MARINE SANCTUARIES for fishing and use only Hook & Line gear in Sayap Reef. When I report intrusion inside the Bindoy Marine Sanctuaries makes me a responsible fisher who is caring of the God’s perfect creations, protective of my family’s livelihood, our daily source of food, and the food for the generations to come. Support Points (draft points, not final) *The local fishers believe that reporting intrusions of Marine Sanctuaries is very easy to do for enhancing marine resources and to increase fish populations for better fish catch. * LGU Bindoy is focused on the protection of the MPAs by engaging all the fishers to report incidence of intrusion inside the Bindoy Marine Sanctuaries so that it will becomes a tourist destination for swimming , snorkelling and diving, thus, creates big opportunities for the fishers to have other alternative livelihoods by providing services and goods to the tourists and other activities that will generate additional income. * Other national agencies like BFAR will also give their support in terms of providing alternative livelihood for the fishers.
