  4. Themes are recognizable Popular advertising campaigns stay with us. A good theme slogan for an ad– and for a yearbook-- is recognizable. Which company is represented by the ad on the following slides?

  5. Which company is represented by these visual ads? TARGET is right! How do you know this is a target ad without seeing the name of the company on the ad?

  6. Themes Are Recognizable • Find an idea that speaks to you. • Make sure it is timely and memorable for your readers. • The Apple iPod campaign is easily recognizable and very timely.

  7. Themes are consistent • Simple elements of themes can be recognized throughout numerous pages of a yearbook and throughout numerous ads a company distributes. • What is consistent between the two ads on the next slide?
