3. It was the year 3020 and the Earth’s population has just reached 50 billion. Back in 2004 people said it would be fine by the end of that century. Some how it didn’t turn out that way. I was a young buff detective sought after by the rich and famous. It was a dull dreary day when I got the call. “Zen O” “The detective?” “Yeah” “Patrick Shofor, Head of Police, I need your help.” Don’t Help Him

With so many people on them at a time this was a regular happening. The whole thing sounded a bit dodgy but I decided not to worry. Was the biggest mistake I’d made in years. 9. For a while. When I woke up I was in some sort of laboratory. Somebody, probably a mad scientist was working with bottles and vials in the background. A couple of bodyguards stood in the doorway but no one seemed to notice me. I climbed off the steel bench, quietly made my way over to an air vent and prised it open. I wasn’t made for this, beads of sweat were running off my face. Escape Don’t Escape

10. The address turned out to be an old warehouse on the edge of town, costing a lot of time and a lot of cab fare. I approached the building with caution. There didn’t seem to be any guards but I couldn’t be certain. I had barely stepped inside the towering fence when two hands grabbed me from behind. I spun around and saw two people behind me and more closing in. They were getting closer and closer until all I could see was them. I could see a fist coming towards my face. It was the last thing I ever saw. Don’t Die Die

12. Slowly, carefully I made my way down the cold, dark air vent. Just as I was beginning to doubt the existence of light warmth and food I saw a tiny pinprick of hope, a light at the end of the tunnel. I was getting closer and closer. I was there! It was right in front of me... it was just a mirage. The End

13. I decided not to risk it. Creeping silently back to the bench I tried to get up quietly but banged my knee on the edge. The person I thought to be a mad scientist turned slowly round to face me.
