The conditions faced by ANZAC soldiers during the Gallipoli campaign were dire, leading to a desperate need to escape after eight months of grueling trench warfare. Utilizing stealth, they evacuated under the cover of night, muffling their movements to avoid detection by the enemy. Some stayed behind to create the illusion of their presence, firing shots to confuse the enemy. This courageous effort became a significant part of their legacy, as many ANZACs sacrificed their lives for their country, commemorated every ANZAC Day across Australia and beyond.

Conditions The conditions were terrible so they really wanted to escape. So the people in charge came up with ideas for them to get away.
When did they escape They escaped after eight months of retreating and attacking from the muddy trenches.
How did they escape They escaped by night with cloth on there boots. While some stayed to fire shots so the enemy thought they were all there and after a while they left and set mechanism to look like they where there.
They escaped Most of the Anzacs died for there country and this is why we remember them on Anzac day all over Australia in France and especially in Gallipoli where the Anzacs landed 99 years ago.
