Types of Fracture: • 1-Closed Fracture: The bone is broken, but the skin is intact • 2-open fracture: The Bone is broken beside the skin is tore (susceptible to Bleeding and Infection)
Indications of Fractures: • Pain when moving the fractured part • Altered shape and color of the fractured part • inability of moving the fractured part • Bleeding, swelling and bruise
Equipment: • cardboard (a board of cartoon) or a Wood. • bandages • Triangular bandage. • adult first aid dummy.
PROCEDURE STEPS: • 1-When you meet the patient, ensure the scene is safe. • 2-Put your gloves on (if there is any).
3-Don’t move the parts of altered color and shaped • 4-Put a clean gauze on the injure site • 5-put a tree's wood or a cardboard above and beneath the fracture area, then wrap it with a band
6-rise the fractured extremity 10 Cm above the ground and put a solid thing beneath it 7-if the fractured part is the hand, use the triangular band to tie it around the neck, so the forearm will be at the level of the heart. 8-Check if the patient has extra problems or not. Then, transfer the patient.
CAUTION while tying the triangular bandage, make sure the head of the bandage at the elbow's side.
