  2. Goals • Implement BMU + track trigger to extend acceptance for dimuons; • Investigate the acceptance gain from other newly implemented triggers; • Investigate the acceptance gain using the following muon regions: blue beam, keystone, and mini skirt.

  4. Run Number Plots of Z Muons • Require one leg as CMUP muon and the other as BMU muon • The RH plot has both triggers CMUP18 and L3BMU on

  6. The top plots are: • no trigger required total entries: 84521 • CMUP18 or CMX18 on total entries: 83872 • CMUP18, CMX18 or L3BMU on total entries: 83873 • The bottom plots are: • no trigger required • CMUP18 and CMX18 on • CMUP18 and L3BMU on

Use “or” to find out the following: • How many data events we have from the standard requirement of CMUP or CMX • How many data events we would gain by adding the BMU trigger, that is, requiring CMUP, CMX or BMU • How many total events there are in the bhmu stream, that is, by including all other non-standard triggers • Fewer than 1% additional events in the entire bhmu stream ( BMU data not included in the current stream? )

  9. What to do next? • Check if there is a separate BMU-triggered data stntuple; • Use fiduciality definitions in the stntuple of the CMUP and CMX systems; • Investigate the acceptance gain using the following muon regions: blue beam, keystone, and mini skirt; • Study the efficiencies of newly implemented trigger.
