  2. #1: When does class begin? End? • Class begins and ends only when the bell rings and the door closes. • Class ends when I signal you to pack up and line up. • DO NOT begin packing up before given permission to pack up. You may miss out on important information such as homework and announcements.

  3. #2: What behavior is allowed upon entering the classroom? • Look at the attendance wall. If your name is on the attendance wall you are responsible for the attendance for that week/day. • Get your five subject notebook or binder. • Take a seat and get out pencil. • Begin Power Work Activity.

  4. #3: Time to clean room? Prepare to leave? • Clean room: Before Leaving the Class!! • Until my room is free of paper on the floor no one leaves. • Prepare to leave: Do not prepare to leave until the lesson is completed or I tell you to prepare to leave.

  5. #4: What behavior is expected upon leaving the classroom? • ___ leave at bell • _x__ leave when this signal is given Signal: No one lines up unless I have called your table to do so. There will not be any running to the door. If you run to the door you will find yourself last in line.

  6. #5 What to do when tardy: You are only tardy if you enter the classroom after the hallways have been cleared and my door is shut with no note from your prior teacher.

  7. #6: How to request permission to leave the room: • You may only leave the room the first 10 or last 10 minutes of class. The first 10 minutes of class begins once I have given instructions for the day’s work. I will try to announce when you may leave. You may ask by raising your hand and having your agenda filled out ready for me to sign. We will go to the bathroom as a group midway through class.

  8. #7: Procedure for turning in assignments: • Assignments may be turned in ONLY when I ask them to be passed up. DO NOT give the homework to me and expect me to keep up with it. If you give your work to me without me asking for it you will have to do the work over again if I lose it.

  9. #8: Policy for making up missed work: • Students may make up any missed work. However, he/she is responsible for looking at the appropriate calendar. • You will need to look in the appropriate folder for your make-up assignment with your name on it. If you do not see your name in the make up work DO NOT assume you do not have work to make up. • DO NOT turn your work into me. You need to turn it into the appropriate basket.

  10. #9 What to do if you don’t have your homework: • It is a pet peeve when you don’t have your homework completed. • Students will fill out a pink slip. This is not a replacement for the uncompleted or lost work. However, it lets me know why you didn’t turn it in and to EXPECT you to turn in the work late.

  11. #10 Testing Schedule: • Tests will be given more often this year, but I will let you know when you will be taking a test. We will review the day before and take the test the next day.

  12. Cheating Policy • No Tolerance! You will be given a zero, with a phone call home and a discipline referral. You will also lose out on your weekly/monthly reward.

  13. The following items should be brought to class on a daily basis: • x___paper __x__notebook __x__pencil • __x__homework __x__great attitude _x___book • Other: • You will need a book to read if you have finished your work before others. Talking and disrupting your classmates is NOT OK!

  14. Don’t have the materials? • After the second offense of not coming to class prepared you will be given a RANGERS mark within your agenda.

  15. Procedure for trash disposal: • Only at the end of class. The trash can is NOT a basketball goal. Please just drop the trash in the trash can. The following in NOT a trash can: floor, computer tables, shelves, buckets, or crates

  16. Food and Gum • Food or drink is not allowed unless permission is given by me. Gum is also allowed until the first piece is found on the floor.

  17. Homework Assignments: • You may find your homework assignments for your agenda on the calendar found on the assignments wall.

  18. What to do when you finish before others: • If you finish before your peers, you may do the following: read a book quietly or take a RC quiz.

  19. Areas of room off limits to students: • You may not come behind my desk unless I invite you to enter. • You cannot sit at the conference table, computers, or reading center unless given permission by myself.

  20. Last but Not Least… Where to find shared materials When is it Not okay to talk: • Bookcases • When I’m talking

  21. Mrs. T’s Pet Peeves • Don’t draw on new tables • Don’t talk when I’m talking • Leave the drama at the door • Don’t wander around the room • Don’t call out an answer • Don’t cock attitude
