Medieval Beasties These creatures were based partially on the descriptions of travelers, and were partially made-up
The BestiarumVocabulum Also known as a Bestiary, the BestiarumVocabulum was a compilation of beasts created in Medieval times. We are going to create our own Bestiary as a class, and each of you will make your own page (and your own creature!). Your creatures may be real or imagined, and may be as spooky as you would like to make them.
So Here’s Your Project… • Either create a beastie from the list (you get to decide what it looks like) OR create a beastie of your own • You must make your creature fill the page (no itty-bitty beasties) • You may use whatever materials you want from what Ms. Stephenson has put out (pencil, colored pencil, Sharpies, etc.) • Give your beastie page a nice border – decorate it! • Write your beastie’s name and a short description on the page (so we know what we’re looking at) • Keep in your locker/sketchbook at the end of class
