Strategic LeadershipResponsible to Parents/Community/LA • Role within the School • To ensure all children achieve as high a standard of learning and general wellbeing as possible within the aims of Every Child Matters • To develop and monitor self evaluative systems within the organisation to achieve the above • To monitor and liaise with other leadership teams and engage in dialogue about ways forward • To develop a policy of involvement for all stakeholders within the school and the community it serves • To create strong lines of communication between all leadership and stakeholder groups • To ensure the principles of “Best Value” are applied to all decisions made
Pastoral LeadershipResponsible to SLT ECM Foci – Be Healthy, Stay Safe, Make a Positive Contribution • Role within the School • To ensure all children have access to the full range of activities, advice and services offered by the school to enable them to develop a sense of personal, social and emotionalwellbeing • To develop and monitor systems of intervention which enable all children to have high self esteem and a high level of achievement/attainment • To develop a strong sense of independence, citizenship and shared cultural values across the school • To ensure all children have access to, and learn about, healthy lifestyles, including physical activity
Standards LeadershipResponsible to SLTECM Foci –Enjoy and Achieve, Make a Positive Contribution, Achieve Economic Wellbeing • Role within the School • To ensure high standards of learning and teaching in English, Maths and Science for all children to enable them to reach their full potential • To develop a policy of embedding the use of ICT within the curriculum to enable as wide a range of opportunities for learning to take place • To report regularly to all stakeholders about the standards of individuals, groups, cohorts and Key Stages within the school • To organise, monitor and improve appropriate interventions to enable those who are underperforming to achieve age related objectives • To improve levels of on-entry attainment and systems of effective transition and progression from FS onwards
Stakeholder LeadershipResponsible to Children/Parents/Community • Role within the School • To ensure all children achieve as high a standard of learning and general wellbeing as possible within the aims of Every Child Matters • To ensure all children and their families have access to, and input into, decisions about curriculum development, behaviour policy, health, general wellbeing and play activities • To provide a wide range of opportunities for parents/carers to engage with the school and the services it provides • To provide parents/carers with access to advice and support from agencies outside the school • To develop procedures/protocols which lead to increased involvement for all stakeholders within the school and the community it serves
