CAIRNS 2005 Ocean Modelling System at Noumea : work to do • Improving and testing the Regional Ocean Modelling System in reanalysis mode with : • - LBC from MERCATOR 1/4 ° (Assimilation benefit from large scale toward short scale without cost !) • SBC from a Regional Atmospheric System (WRF Model or Meteo-France Model) • ROMS tunning : Lateral boundary, initialisation … Testing the prototype of Ocean Forecasting System with feedback from reanalysis mode ROMS – WRF – MARS 3D coupling with objectives to improve estimates near coastal area : Offshore and lagoon ressource survey
