  4. Lakeside School Shell House – Seattle Rain-Screen Siding • Synapse Construction provided Seattle siding services for the remodel/addition of the Lakeside School shell house. A small portion of the original corrugated metal siding was left on the building and patched and painted to match the new siding. The new Seattle siding installed was Ceraclad siding which is a rain screen system. We worked closely with the designer and general contractor in creating the right exterior texture for the building.

  5. Fremont Condominium Seattle Siding and Windows Replacement This Seattle siding is being replaced with hardi plank siding of various exposures. We are using Vaproshield “wrapshield” as our wrb and also using the PVC sill pans, preformed corners and spacers for the penetration flashings. The existing aluminum single pane windows (circa 1973) are being replace with Milgard “Montecino” windows and sliding glass doors. This building suffered from years of shoddy Seattle siding water intrusion issues as some of the construction defects included.

Queen Anne Seattle Apartment – Seattle Rainscreen, Siding and Windows Synapse Construction – Seattle siding provided siding, window installation and metal break shape window trim and waterproofing services for this 4 story Queen Anne Hill, multi-use building Synapse Construction – installed 110? new thermally improved anodized aluminum windows. The windows were then trimmed out with custom metal brake shapes. The siding installed on the south elevation is a rain-screen siding system by Cereclad.

Bellevue, WA – Siding Window and Door Replacement This Seattle siding and replacement window project in Bellevue was to restore the envelope of 3 buildings with 15 units from years of neglected maintenance and construction defects. We worked closely with the GC on identifying and repairing framing memeber, areas in need of mold remediation etc. This Seattle siding project used a mixture of James Hardie plank and Hardie panel siding with whitewood and cedar trim elements.

  9. Seattle Fiber Cement Siding – Mt Baker, Seattle • This classic home in the Mt Baker area of Seattle had old cedar shingle siding that had come to the end of its useful life. The owners wanted the siding replacement to be with fiber cement siding and keep with the classic look of the home.

Kirkland Modern House Siding This Kirkland WA siding project incorporated many different products and methods.  We used fiber cement plank siding with traditional installation methods.  We also pre milled the fiber cement panel siding and sent it out to a pre finisher to paint with the home owners custom paint color before installation with open joint rain-screen siding methodology.

Broadview Seattle Rain screen Siding and Replacement Windows This 1950s house was looking dated and was drafty due partly to poorly installed windows Synapse Construction removed the cedar bevel siding and replaced it with 1×6 S4S clear horizontal rain-screen siding We also removed and replaced all of the windows.

  13. Magnolia, Seattle Siding Replacement Project This 5 year old home in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle looked great but had some serious water intrusion problems The signs of water intrusion were minimal with just some small signs of dampness at window and door sills. 

  14. James Hardie Color-plus Panel Siding – Broadview, Seattle The owners of this newly remodeled home had chosen to use James Hardie color plus panel siding with rain-screen methodology. James Hardie color-plus panels are factory pre finished/painted panels that have a 15 year color fade guarantee.
