Adventures in the Stone Age: Mammoth Hunt and Fire-Making Fun

Join us on an exhilarating Stone Age day filled with mammoth hunting, fire-making, and cave painting! The thrill of spotting enormous mammoth tracks ignited our excitement as we trekked up steep hills. After an exhausting climb, we discovered that our 'mammoth' was just a toy, but the adventure didn't end there. We learned the art of fire-making with cabbage leaves and flint, enjoyed a delightful lunch, and attempted creative cave painting. Even spear throwing posed a challenge, but determination led to success in hitting our target!

  2. Mammoth Hunt The most exciting thing about the mammoth hunt is starting it.

  3. On the way we saw mammoth tracks. They were huuuuuuuuuge.

  4. I tugged and pulled my way up the big steep hill.

  5. I was so hot I could have died.

  6. Finally we got there. When I looked at the mammoth I felt like I did it all for nothing because it was only a toy.

  7. Fire Making Emma, Cate, Amelia, Breea, Sam and me went to collect cabbage leaves. They were for fire lighters.

  8. Karl demonstrated how to make a fire.

  9. Shae showed us how to use a flint.

  10. We watched our fire as we ate our lunch.

  11. Cave painting I found a rock and started painting.

  12. I tried again but it still didn’t look too flash.

  13. When I was done, it looked horrible……….

  14. ……compared to Emma’s.

  15. Spear Throwing It was so hard to get the target.

  16. I tried and I tried to get the target but I just couldn’t. I got there in the end.

  17. I ended up getting the mammoth’s foot.

  18. I was so tired I could hardly throw.
