  3. When I’m on a hike in the woods at night how will I know if I see you? You’ll know it’s me because we’re the only owl with feathers tuffs on our heads. We’re four feet high we weigh 5to7 pounds and our wing span is four feet wide. We have brown gray black and white feathers. I’m a beautiful looking owl.

  4. Would I find you in a special place or anywhere? You can find me anywhere. I can live grasslands, deserts, marshes, swamps mangrovers, large city's, and farms. I can live in places with food and water. You can see me in any of those spots.

  6. What kind of food do you eat? We eat all kinds of food. We like to eat rabbits squirrels mice gophers and even skunks. We can eat dead or alive animals. It might seem gross but to me delicious.

  7. Is it true that your mother and father both take care of you? Yes it is true that the mother and father take care of us. We are born in nests when we hatch we are soft, fluffy, and white. Are life span is 35 years. We can lay up to 4 to 6 owlets. That is how my parents take care of me.

  8. How do you protect yourself? We protect ourselves by using very sharp talons for killing and hunting. We also can see in the dark and our heads can turn all the way around to see front side and back. That’s our way of defending ourselves from danger.

  10. Do your feathers camouflage with your surroundings? Yes our feathers do camouflage with our surroundings. Since we have brown gray black and white feathers that go with our surroundings. We blend in with trees leaves and night time. That’s our ways of blending in with our surroundings.
